Meet Britta Veneziano, the Heart Behind New Mom School Ballantyne

New Mom School Ballantyne is led by Britta Veneziano, a former media strategist and mom of three. For Britta, bringing New Mom School to Charlotte wasn’t just a professional decision — it was deeply personal.

After the birth of her first child in 2018, Britta attended the Newborn Series in California and experienced firsthand the power of having a supportive, expert-led space during postpartum. The sense of connection, clarity, and confidence she gained made such a lasting impact that she knew she had to bring it to other moms.

“That experience was everything for me, and I knew I wanted to bring it to the moms here in Charlotte—especially with so many families moving here without local support. I wanted to help create the village I was lucky enough to have, for the moms who need it most.”

Britta knows firsthand how life-changing it can be to have a space where moms feel seen, heard, and truly supported — and that’s exactly what she’s creating here in Ballantyne. Her goal is to offer not only expert guidance and education, but also a place where lifelong friendships and genuine community can grow.

“There’s nothing more powerful than sitting in a circle of moms who just get it and are in the exact same unfamiliar phase of life as you.. The learning is amazing—but it’s the relationships that carry you through.”

With a background in corporate advertising and communications and a passion for maternal wellness, Britta is on a mission to change the narrative for new moms in North Carolina — starting with one powerful, supportive village at a time.

Why the 4th Trimester Deserves More Support

The fourth trimester — the first three months after birth — is an intense, emotional, and often isolating time. 85% of new moms experience some level of postpartum distress, and 1 in 7 will face postpartum depression. Britta and the team at New Mom School are here to change that.

Through a structured, 8-week series, moms are placed in small, closed groups with others whose babies are the same age. Classes are 90 minutes long and feature local expert speakers on everything from lactation and infant sleep to maternal mental health, pelvic floor therapy, and more.

But perhaps the most powerful part? The community. Moms form deep bonds with each other, often staying connected long after the class ends.
