Eva Almiñana

Location Owner | Philadelphia-Rittenhouse

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Eva Almiñana always imagined she would navigate early motherhood the way her own mom did in the ’80s and ’90s—meeting other new moms through birthing classes, maternity aerobics, and neighborhood groups that naturally evolved into lifelong friendships. But when Eva welcomed her son, Miko, she quickly realized that this kind of built-in village no longer existed for many families in the city. The experience was far more isolating than she expected.

When Eva later discovered New Mom School and its mission to rebuild meaningful, in-person support for postpartum moms, her first thought was why doesn’t something like this already exist in Philadelphia? Rooted deeply in local community and built around trusted networks of providers, specialists, and small businesses, New Mom School felt like exactly what Philadelphia families deserved — a complement to the already incredible maternal-health and family-focused resources across the city.

Eva’s career spans retail and fashion merchandising, business strategy, and organizational design, where she spent years helping companies grow, evolve, and better serve their communities. As a mom to two-year-old Miko, wife to Arthur, and dog-mom to Oliver, she brings both her professional experience and her personal passion to creating a warm, judgment-free space for new families in Philadelphia.

Eva is thrilled to open New Mom School Philadelphia and to help rebuild the type of postpartum village she always hoped to find—one where moms feel supported, connected, and empowered during one of the most transformative seasons of their lives.
